DUNKIN’ DONUTS IS OFF TO THE RACES WITH “40 DAYS AT SARATOGA” SWEEPSTAKES

 

Contest offers 40 chances to win a VIP Clubhouse package at Saratoga Race Course

 

SARATOGA SPRINGS, New York (July 16, 2010) - Dunkin’ Donuts will offer racing fans the chance to visit the “summer place to be” in style with a special in-store contest as part of its new partnership with The New York Racing Association at Saratoga Race Course. The “40 Days at Saratoga” sweepstakes provides Dunkin’ Donuts customers with the opportunity to win one of 40 VIP Clubhouse packages for a day at the races at Saratoga Race Course. One prize will be awarded for each day of racing during the extended 2010 meet.

 

            The VIP package includes four Clubhouse reserved seats at Saratoga Race Course, clubhouse admission passes, post parade program books and two parking passes. A total of 40 VIP packages will be awarded over the course of the meet, which runs from Friday, July 23 through Monday, September 6.

 

            Customers can enter to win by completing the “40 Days at Saratoga” entry form available at any participating Dunkin’ Donuts location in the greater Capital Region, the Berkshires and western Vermont. No purchase is necessary; must be 18 years or older to enter. Winners will be notified the week prior to event date.

            The “40 Days at Saratoga” contest is only one element of a series of events, promotions and special incentives brewed up by Dunkin’ Donuts that are sure to be a winning bet for racing enthusiasts and coffee fans throughout the 2010 meet.

 

            Dunkin’ Donuts will guide racing fans as the title sponsor of the time-honored Daily Double wagering tradition. The new Dunkin’ Donuts Daily Double will be offered on both the early and late doubles held each day at Saratoga Race Course and will be featured daily during the popular Talking Horses broadcast on NYRA TV which is simulcast to more than 600 racetracks and casinos worldwide.

           

            On Monday, July 26, Dunkin’ Donuts will celebrate the inaugural “Dunkin’ Donuts Monday” at Saratoga Race Course with a named race in honor of the its new partnership with The New York Racing Association. Each Monday, Dunkin’ Donuts customers will receive an extra perk by receiving $2 off the price of grandstand admission by presenting their Dunkin’ Donuts rechargeable card at the track admission gates.

 

            Racing fans will be on the lookout for more than just the day’s best bets each Monday when three Post Parade program books sold on track will feature a commemorative Dunkin’ Donuts 60th birthday sticker on the Dunkin’ Donuts advertisement. The lucky program book recipients will each receive a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card worth $60 in honor of Dunkin’s 60th birthday. The re-chargeable gift cards are redeemable at all participating Dunkin’ Donuts locations in the Capital Region.

 

            Additionally, the Dunkin’ Donuts coffee cup and donut characters will compete in the beloved mascot race during the annual pre-season Open House on Sunday, July 18. Families will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with the mascots throughout the season opening festivities.
