Live Racing at Aqueduct Canceled Wednesday; Simulcasting Available

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has canceled live racing at Aqueduct Racetrack on Wednesday, November 27, citing sustained winds of 20-30 m.p.h. and gusts up to 40 m.p.h.

Aqueduct (first floor Clubhouse) and the Belmont Café will remain open for simulcasting, and Telebet and Internet wagering will be available through NYRA Rewards.

Live racing is expected to resume tomorrow with a special first-race post time of 11:25 a.m. and the traditional Thanksgiving feature, the Grade 3 Fall Highweight Handicap for sprinters 3-years-old and up.

Aqueduct will have special noon first-race post times on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, Aqueduct will present the Grade 2 Go for Wand Handicap for fillies and mares. Saturday's card will include four graded stakes, including the Grade 1 Cigar Mile Handicap, which is expected to attract Breeders' Cup winners Groupie Doll and Goldencents.
