KENTUCKY HORSE PARK CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY The Showplace for Saddlebreds/American Saddlebred Museum Open Wednesday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 26, 2013) - The Kentucky Horse Park will be closed on Thanksgiving Eve and Day, Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 27-28, 2013. The park is normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the winter season, so the park is also closed Nov. 25-26 this week. The park will be open its normal schedule Friday through Sunday, Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Showplace for Saddlebreds, the American Saddlebred Museum and Gift Shop, regularly part of the Kentucky Horse Park admission ticket, will be open on Wednesday, Nov. 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a special admission rate of only $3 per person. The museum will be closed Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving and will reopen Friday following the Kentucky Horse Park schedule.
The special holiday driving event, Southern Lights, is open every night until Dec. 31, 2013 from 5:30-10 p.m. The other attractions inside the park will be open every night except Nov. 28 and Dec. 24-31. The lighted drive will be the only attraction offered Nov. 28 and Dec. 24-31. The cost is $15 per passenger car Sunday through Thursday evenings and $20 per passenger car on Friday and Saturday nights.
