DONE DECIDING WINS SECOND STRAIGHT

OKLAHOMA CITY – Done Deciding took six races to break his maiden status, achieving his first victory on Sept. 27 at Remington Park. It took him only one more race to earn his second triumph, capturing a claiming attempt on Wednesday night.

Owned and trained by Lynn Chleborad of Altoona, Iowa, Done Deciding was ridden to his second consecutive win by Glenn Corbett. After sitting off the pace in the field of 14, Done Deciding moved wide through the lone turn of the six-furlong race and was second at the top of the stretch. The 3-year-old Kentucky-bred gelding quickly ran down the pace-setting Grand Ali in the lane, drawing off to win by three lengths in 1:12.24 over the fast track.

Away at 2-1 odds as the wagering favorite, Done Deciding paid $6.60 to win, $3 to place and $3.20 to show. Goober rallied for second and paid $7 to place and $5 to show. Silent Hero was third, paying $7.40 to show.

Done Deciding is by Midnight Lute from the Wavering Monarch mare Time To Decide. His second win from seven career attempts was worth $5,541, pushing his overall total to $14,556.

The Remington Park jockeys are providing their own great race concerning standings position. Ramon Vazquez won twice on Wednesday with Mocha Mistress ($2.60 to win) in race two and Cabe ($11.20) in race seven. The double gives him 35 wins for the season and puts him in a tie for second in the rider colony with Alex Birzer.

Luis Quinonez was winless on Wednesday night but continues to hold the lead for the season with 36 wins.

Remington Park’s 25th Anniversary Season of Thoroughbred racing continues Thursday thru Saturday, Oct. 24-26 with the first race nightly at 7pm. The $50,000 E.L. Gaylord Memorial Stakes for 2-year-old fillies is the main event of the week, taking place Friday night.

Open daily at 10:30am for casino gaming and simulcast racing, Remington Park also features the Bricktown Brewery on the casino floor. Admission, general parking and valet parking are always free at Remington Park, home of the $250,000 Springboard Mile for 2-year-olds, to be run on December 15, 2013.
