Standardbred Pacing Champion Won The West Retires to Kentucky Horse Park

WHAT:  Welcome of Standardbred pacer Won The West to the Hall of Champions
  
WHEN:  Saturday, October 6, 10:00 am
  
WHERE:  Hall of Champions, Kentucky Horse Park
  
WHY:   Two-Time Divisional and Breeders Crown Champion; 2009 Breeders Crown stakes winner in record time of 1:47; Canadian Pacing Derby; Indiana Pacing Derby; Bobby Quillin Memorial; The Dan Patch Invitational; and, winner of three American national stakes titles

HOW:

  • The public is invited to welcome Won The West at the Hall of Champions at the Won The West Welcome Ceremony at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 6.  The welcome ceremony is open to the public, or guests may choose to stay and visit the rest of the park with regular visitor admission ($16 for adults, $8 for children 7-12, no charge for children 6 and under in the party).

  • Members of the media are asked to park in the main Visitor Parking Lot and go to the Visitor Information Center, where golf cart shuttles for the media will be available.
