$102K PICK 6 CARRYOVER ADDS ZIP TO THURSDAY CARD

ELMONT, N.Y. – Go Get the Basil ($49.60) won Wednesday's fifth race at Belmont Park, the opening leg of the Pick 6 sequence, to help trigger a two-day carryover of $102,854.

Even with favorites winning races 7 and 9, there were no live tickets heading into the ninth and final race of the day, won by long shot Northern Tripp ($61.50). There were 13 tickets that correctly tabbed five of six winners, with the consolation returning $1,838.

The second leg of Thursday's Pick 6 is the featured $80,000 Serena's Cat, carded as race 5. The seven-furlong turf race has attracted nine fillies and mares, plus one entered for the main track only, with the Christophe Clement-trained Future Generation the 5-2 favorite in her first outing since finishing fourth in the Grade 2 Honey Fox in March at Gulfstream Park.

Those who wish to play the Pick 6 can place their bets at Belmont or Aqueduct Racetrack, or through NYRA Rewards, which offers Internet, On-Track, Phone, and Mobile wagering.
