SARATOGA SPRINGS – August 2, 2012

“At the Post Live” broadcasts every Thursday at 9pm before a capacity live audience at Hattie’s Restaurant and over Crystal Clear “Albany’s Sports Leader” ESPN Radio 104.5 FM “The Team.” Last week's show featured appearances by special guests two-time ECLIPSE AWARD WINNING JOCKEY RAMON DOMINGUEZ and elite trainer DALE ROMANS as well as by Parting Glass Racing’s founder and managing owner TOM GALLO.

This Thursday, August 2nd, Andy Serling once again takes the Saratoga racing season center stage in front of a live audience at Hattie’s Restaurant and the ESPN Radio airwaves. He will be joined by local New York racing institutions, CURRENT LEADING SARATOGA TRAINER CHAD BROWN and TELEVISION PERSONALITY and RETIRED CHAMPION JOCKEY RICHARD MIGLIORE.

Trainer CHAD BROWN, in just five short years of training on his own, has rapidly ascended to the very top of his profession. Known for working and studying under the late Bobby Frankel, in 2008, during just his first year of training, Brown won a Breeders' Cup race with Maram. A native of Mechanicville, New York, a town very close to Saratoga Springs, Brown almost immediately became a local favorite. His training talents have been particularly strong at Saratoga, where in 2011 he finished a game second to Todd Pletcher's juggernaut season. At this writing he is atop the 2012 Trainer standings

with eight wins.

Retired Jockey RICHARD MIGLIORE dominated The New York Racing Association, Inc. tracks of Saratoga, Aqueduct and Belmont where he recorded 3,959 victories. Known affectionately by legions of racing fans as "The Mig", he was named the NYTB Jockey of the Year in 2004 and 2005 and was honored with the 2003 Mike Venezia Memorial Award by NYRA and the 2008 George Woolf Memorial Jockey Award by his peers for “extraordinary sportsmanship and citizenship”. During his career, Migliore piloted such champions and stakes winners as Funny Cide, Artie Schiller, Fourstardave, Albert the Great, Kip Deville, Wando, Friends Lake, and Desert Code, among many others. Upon his retirement, he left the jockey colony with a record of 4,450 victories, 362 Stakes wins, and 25 Grade One winners. Migliore is now featured as a broadcaster and personality in a variety of capacities in NYRA's television programming.
