BELMONT CAFÉ UPGRADES FOR RESORTS WORLD NEW YORK CASINO WOOD MEMORIAL DAY

 

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has announced a number of upgrades to the Belmont Café simulcasting center that will be in place by Resorts World New York Casino Wood Memorial Day, Saturday, April 9.

 

Among the upgrades are the following:

 

  • 65 brand new flat screen televisions, bringing the total amount to 145
  • 12 additional mutuel machines allowing for more teller and self-service betting opportunities, bringing the total quantity to 68
  • A second ATM machine

 

The $1 million Resorts World New York Casino Wood Memorial at Aqueduct Racetrack is the final Triple Crown prep race for Queens native Mike Repole’s undefeated Uncle Mo. The 3-year-old son of Indian Charlie won the 2010 Eclipse Award for Champion Two-Year-Old Male and is the current favorite for the Kentucky Derby.

 

The terrific day of racing at Aqueduct on April 9 also includes the Grade 1 Carter Handicap for sprinters, the Grade 3 Bay Shore for 3-year-old sprinters, and the Grade 3 Comely for 3-year-old filly milers.

 

The heated Belmont Café at Belmont Park offers customers the ability to use self-service machines or bet with tellers, and has a variety of food and drinks available for purchase, including soup, bagels, hot dogs and assorted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Parking and admission at The Belmont Café are free, with track prices paid on all payouts. Available programs include the Post Parade, Daily Racing Form, and Daily Racing Program.

 

NYRA offers a shuttle service which runs from the Queens Village LIRR stop to the Belmont Café on live racing days.
