Timothy Tullock, Jr., winning trainer of 11-1 Full Moon Blues (No. 3): “She’s by Petionville, and they normally take one or two starts to come together. But once they get it, they get it. It was a great ride by Malcolm [Franklin]. She didn’t break all that well, but no one else seemed anxious for the lead, and he was able to cruise on up there and dictate the pace. We’re not sure that is next for her. Clearly, she got the mile today, which is nice. We’re not sure what she does better, sprinting, or a mile. We’ll have to see how she comes out of this and then decide.”

 

Malcolm Franklin, winning jockey aboard 11-1 Full Moon Blues (No. 3): “I was expecting a huge race from her today and I got it. Today, she broke sharp and put me in a nice position on the lead. She was nice and relaxed and from then on, I said ‘well, they're going to have to run extra hard to beat me.’”
