- Nov 24: Southern Lights Stroll - Enjoy a run or walk through 3 miles of sparkling holiday lights! Please bring non-perishable food items for God's Pantry food bank and area animal shelters.
- Nov 26-Dec 31: Southern Lights - Bigger and better than ever! New light displays and indoor activities.
- Nov 26-27: Bucky the Lucky Kentucky Colt debut - Come to Southern Lights to meet the KHP's official mascot at his official debut! Adoptable pets from LIFE House for Animals will also be available.
- Dec 3-4: Breyer Weekend - Special Breyer gift for the first 50 children through the Southern Lights gate each night, and other children's Breyer activities. Adoptable pets from Shamrock Greyhounds and Rockcastle Animals in Need will also be available.
- Dec 3-5: Holiday Open House in Gift Shop - Great selection of gifts, discounts, free samples, and much more.
- Dec 4: Free Gelding Surgeries clinic
- Dec 7: Military Night at Southern Lights - Free entry for all current and former military personnel and their families on this special Southern Lights evening! Just show military i.d. at the gate.
- Dec 10-11: Kentucky Proud Weekend - Sample and purchase products grown and made in Kentucky at Southern Lights. Adoptable pets from Speak Out and Rescue will also be available.
- Dec 17-18: Elvis! - Two shows per night by Elvis impersonators during Southern Lights. See the Elvis exhibition in the museum. Adoptable pets from Scott County Humane Society will also be available.
