SHORDAWATYADRINK KNOCKS BACK WEDNESDAY FEATURE AT ODDS OF 126-1

LAUREL, MD. 10-06-10---Shordawatyadrink was the longest shot on the board in Wednesday’s Laurel Park 8th race feature but the Maryland-bred upset nine rivals to win the $32,000 allowance test at odds of 126-1.

Owned and conditioned by Horace Parker at the Bowie Training Center, the son of Mojave Moon, with jockey Leroy Nelson aboard, was last at the half-mile marker but exploded down the stretch to run down front-running Kens Cape and win by 1-1/2 lengths. Cutter, a 28-1 shot, finished third. The 5-year-old finished the 7-furlongs in 1:24.15.

Shordawatyadrink paid $255.40 to win, $75 to place and $32 to show. The gelding topped a $1,099.80 exacta and $20,475 trifecta.
