$85,762 double Pick 6 carryover into Monday's 'Veterans Appreciation Day' card at the Big A

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - The Pick 6 at Aqueduct Racetrack eluded bettors for a second straight day on Sunday after only two favorites - Saint Joseph ($4.50) in Race 6 and Misszippityslewda ($3.30) in Race 8 - came in during the sequence, triggering a $85,762 double carryover into Monday's special "Veterans Appreciation Day" card.

The Pick 6 on Monday begins with Race 4, which has a scheduled post time of 1:47 p.m., on the nine-race card at the Big A. First race post time is 12:20 p.m.

Veteran's Appreciation Day at Aqueduct will be highlighted by two special ceremonies in Aqueduct's winners circle.

  • At 1:47 p.m. and following the running of the fourth race, the New York Racing Association will conduct a special trophy presentation recognizing the courage and sacrifices made by service members and veteran employees.

  • At 2:16 p.m. and following the running of the fifth race, the New York Racing Association will conduct a special trophy presentation featuring representatives of Hope for the Warriors, supporting post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.

NYRA Rewards members possessing valid military IDwill be provided free admission to Longshots, Aqueduct's new, state-of-the-art simulcasting center on Monday. With more than 270 individual handicapping carrels and 55 self-service betting terminals located across four separate seating areas, Longshots has become highly popular with horseplayers year-round, including the Belmont and Saratoga meets when live racing shifted away from Aqueduct.

Additionally, the first 1,000 Aqueduct Racetrack guests purchasing a Post Parade program or Daily Racing Form and possessing valid military ID on Monday will be provided a coupon for a free wager that day.

Those who wish to play the Pick 6 can place their bets at Aqueduct or the Belmont Café, or through NYRA Rewards, which offers Internet, On-Track, Phone, and Mobile wagering.
