| Wednesday, July 30, 2014 Contact: NYRA Press Office (718) 659-2351 MEDIA ADVISORY: Update on Lavender Road Lavender Road, who was scratched prior to the running of Wednesday's seventh race at Saratoga Race Course on the advice on the track veterinarian, was taken to Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where she is being evaluated and treated. After being scratched, the 3-year-old filly fell on the horse path to the paddock after exiting the racetrack. According to Dr. Scott Palmer, the Equine Medical Director for New York State, appropriate emergency medical treatment was administered to the filly before she was transported by equine ambulance to the hospital. |
