SLOTS, SIMULCASTING OPEN EVENINGS DURING JAZZ FEST

NEW ORLEANS (Thursday, April 14, 2011) – The 600-plus state-of-the-art slot machines and the Grandstand OTB facility at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots will be open for business every evening during the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, also known as Jazz Fest, April 29-May 1 and May 5-8. Even though the Slots and Simulcasting will suspend play during the day, Jazz Fest visitors are invited to join in the after-party fun at Fair Grounds as music-filled afternoons segue into thrilling New Orleans evenings.

The Slots facility and Fair Grounds OTB will open to pedestrians at 6:30 p.m. on Jazz Fest days and vehicles will be able to access the parking lot no later than 8 p.m.

The Slots and Silmulcasting areas will maintain their regular hours – 9 a.m. to midnight weekdays – on days between Jazz Fest weekends (May 2-4). All Fair Grounds OTB & Casino locations throughout the metro area will maintain their regular hours every day, including Kentucky Oaks Day on May 6 and Kentucky Derby Day on May 7.
