JOCKEY COHEN TO RETURN ON OPENING DAY AT
According to his agent, Bill Castle, Cohen is nursing an injury he suffered when he was unseated after his mount, Talented Princess, stumbled at the start of Aqueduct Racetrack’s first race on March 10.
Cohen resumed riding on March 19 and finished the inner track meet in second place with 82 wins.
On Friday, April 8, Cohen was unseated by A Wink and a Smile prior to the second race, although that did not re-aggravate the original injury, according to Castle.
After winning with one of his eight mounts on Saturday, April 9, Cohen decided to take off the remainder of Aqueduct’s spring meet. Despite missing all of Sunday’s action, Cohen remained in third place prior to today’s races.
