SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The connections of Trappe Shot, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin for Nicholas Brady's Mill House, remain undecided on whether they'll enter their colt in Saturday's Grade 1, $1 million Travers Stakes or Grade 1, $250,000 King's Bishop.

"We had a pow-wow last night over dinner, but we're probably going to come to a conclusion tomorrow morning," said McLaughlin. "The Bradys will be out at the barn again. It's not so cut and dry – I'd say maybe 50/50."

McLaughlin added the colt is prepared to compete in either the 1 ¼-mile Travers or the seven-furlong King's Bishop. Entries for both races will be taken tomorrow.

"We don't have to ship, we don't have to change riders, and we don't have to change our training schedule with the two races being run here on Saturday," said McLaughlin. "He's fit and he's ready to go. We just have to decide what race we're going to enter because we can't enter them both."

Trainer Bob Baffert said he plans to run Bulldogger, owned by Hal J. and Patti Earnhardt, in the King's Bishop on Saturday.

The son of Dixie Union has won two of three lifetime starts, with both victories taking place at Saratoga. The colt won his debut by 6 ½ lengths last year in the slop at the Spa and, in his most recent start, effortlessly scored in a six-furlong entry-level allowance race by 4 ¾ lengths.

Baffert said he would arrive at Saratoga on Thursday.

Among those on the main track after the renovation break this morning was Qualia, who zipped a half-mile in a bullet 46.67, according to NYRA clockers, in preparation for the Grade 1 Ballerina on Saturday's Travers Day undercard.

The move was the quickest of 24 at the distance.

"Actually, it was a little faster than we intended," said Bobby Ribaudo, who trains the 4-year-old Saarland filly for Marc Keller. "There was a team of horses working five-eighths in front of her, and she wound up with a five- or six-length target. She seems to have come out of it all right."

Rightly So also turned in a bullet move in preparation for the Ballerina, going a half in 46.04 over the Oklahoma training track, the fastest of 49 at the distance.

Tuning up on the main track for trainer Rick Dutrow were Boys At Tosconova (5f, 59.44, bullet) in preparation for the Grade 1 Three Chimneys Hopeful on September 6, D' Funnybone (4f, 49.56) for Saturday's King's Bishop, and Trickmeister, who went a half-mile in 48.54. The IEAH color-bearer is nominated to the Travers and is entered in Friday's Pleasant Colony stakes.

Classofsixtythree went five furlongs in 1:03.25 on the training track in her final work before Sunday's Grade 1 Personal Ensign.

Notable works on the Oklahoma training track included Proviso (4f, 52.00), Unrivaled Belle (4f, 51.00), General Maximus (4f, 50.05), Convocation (6f, 1:14), and Mine That Bird (1:11.85).
