BED O’ ROSES (G3) QUOTES

Elizabeth Currey, assistant to Tony Dutrow, winning trainer of Rightly So (No. 6): “She’s unbelievable – there’s no stopping her. She’s all racehorse.”

Cornelio Velasquez, winning jockey aboard Rightly So (No. 6): “She always runs big, but today she wanted to go fast.  The track is fast, too, but I had a lot of horse at the top of the stretch and she finished well.  The other filly [runner-up Qualia] is a nice filly, too.”

Bobby Ribaudo, trainer of beaten favorite and runner-up Qualia (No. 1): “She ran well, just got beat by a nice horse. She showed she belonged. We’ll see what this takes out of her and if everything is well, look forward to the Ballerina at Saratoga [Grade 1, August 28].”

Rajiv Maragh, jockey aboard beaten favorite and runner-up Qualia (No. 1): “My horse had no excuse; she had every chance to get by, and she just got nosed out. She ran hard to the end. The other filly is more seasoned. My filly made a big step forward, first time in stakes company, and I think she showed she belonged. She has a nice future.”
