MOTT TO THROW OUT FIRST PITCH AT TONIGHT’S YANKEE GAME
“It’s about as exciting as anything you could ever do,” said Mott, who on June 5 saddled Drosselmeyer to a 13-1 upset in the $1 million Belmont Stakes, the final leg of racing’s Triple Crown.
Drosselmeyer’s victory was the first in a Triple Crown race for the Hall of Fame trainer, who is best known for campaigning two-time Horse of the Year Cigar, winner of 16 straight races from 1994-1996.
