DETAILS: As thoroughbred racing prepares to return to the foothills of the Adirondacks, officials with the New York Racing Association will discuss plans for the upcoming meet, which will expand by four days and consist of 40 racing days.
The 2010 racing season gets underway on Friday, July 23 and runs through Labor Day, Monday, September 6.
The 30th annual Open House will take place on Sunday, July 18.
NYRA President and CEO Charlie Hayward will be joined by several senior executives to discuss the stakes and racing schedule; marketing promotions; sponsorships and special events, including the debut of new culinary offerings from Union Square Hospitality Group; as well as the horsemen, jockeys and thoroughbreds expected for the 142nd meet.
NYRA officials will also unveil the Spa’s giveaways.
A buffet luncheon will be served following the news conference.
