CUSTOM FOR CARLOS SCRATCHED FROM TRUE NORTH

ELMONT, N.Y. – Custom for Carlos, the 5-2 morning-line favorite in today’s Grade 2 True North, has been scratched with a minor injury.

“He hurt himself in the stall sometime last night,” trainer Eddie Kenneally said. “He has a gash on one of his front feet. We’re not sure how he got it. It’s a little, nasty gash, and he wouldn’t be 100 percent if he raced today.”

Owned by Homewrecker Racing and Avalon Farms, Custom for Carlos has won three of his last four starts, including graded stakes wins in the Grade 3 Mr. Prospector and Grade 3 Count Fleet Handicap.
