MEDIA ADVISORY: BELMONT STAKES WEEK EVENTS
ELMONT, N.Y. - Please find below the list of scheduled media events for Belmont Stakes week. These are the events that have been arranged by The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) or that NYRA is involved with in some capacity.
- Complimentary Continental Breakfasts in the Belmont Café for Credentialed Media: Monday, May 31 – Friday, June 4, from 7:00 – 9:30 a.m.
- Empire State Building Photo Opportunity with Alexis Barba (Trainer – Make Music for Me) and Sammy the Bugler: Tuesday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m., located at 350 Fifth Avenue between 33rd and 34th Streets
- Belmont Stakes Media Luncheon at Madison Square Garden’s Play by Play Sports Bar, featuring a press conference with select jockeys and trainers participating in the Belmont Stakes: Tuesday, June 1, from 12:00 noon – 2:30 p.m., 7th Avenue and 32nd Street. Transportation will be provided to credentialed media, leaving from the Belmont Park clubhouse entrance at 10:55 a.m.
- Belmont Stakes Post Position Draw at Belmont Park’s Garden Terrace: Wednesday, June 2, Breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and Post Position Draw at 11:00 a.m.
- Press Conference in the Belmont Park Film Theater with Nick Zito, trainer of Derby runner-up Ice Box and Dwyer winner Fly Down, and Dale Romans, trainer of Preakness runner-up First Dude: Thursday, June 3 at 12:00 noon
- Belmont Stakes Press Party at the Garden City Hotel: Friday, June 4 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m., by invitation only
- Post Belmont Stakes Press Conference in the Belmont Park Film Theatre: Saturday, June 5, approximately 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., following the Belmont Stakes
