Turnback the Alarm Handicap (G3) Quotes

John Shirreffs, winning trainer of Stanwyck (No. 4): "Her stay in Saratoga really helped her. Training in Saratoga on the hill in the back and on the Oklahoma training track really helped her a lot. I had 12 up there with [assistant trainer] David Figueroa. David did a great job with her. She has been at Saratoga since the end of the meet."

"This filly has trained so well in the morning. She just hadn't done it in the afternoon, but she trained like a graded stakes horse in the morning. We just had to transfer that form to the afternoon."

Alex Solis, winning jockey aboard Stanwyck (No. 4): "I had a beautiful trip. I saved ground and got a good position down on the inside. I just had to be patient. At the 3-16ths pole I got out in the clear and she went by the other filly and had to wait a little bit. She picked it up and finished strong to fight the other filly down the stretch."

Tom Albertrani, trainer of beaten favorite and runner-up Centring (No. 6): "She got hung wide and when you get beat a nose, that makes a difference. She ran her race. We're happy enough; we just have to wait for the next one."
