ESTONIA RULES FAIR GROUNDS’ FILLY FEATURE
By Graham Ross, Staff Writer
NEW ORLEANS (Saturday, December 01, 2012) – Stoneway Farms’ Estonia, unhurried early, swung outside the leaders to launch a bid when set down for the drive, gained the advantage at the furlong grounds and drew off for a three-length tally in Saturday’s $47,000 Fair Grounds allowance and $50,000 optional claiming feature for juvenile fillies.
Trained by Neil Howard and ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan,
IM IN Racing Stable’s I’m in Fashion made the pace with fractions of 24.18 and 49.38, could not stay with the winner in the final furlong but gamely saved the place by finishing a head to the good of Double Dip Stables’ Timthetrolleygirl.
I’m in Fashion returned $9.20 and $3 while Tipthetrolleygirl paid $2.20 in the show spot.
Racing resumes Sunday at Fair Grounds with a 10-race program beginning at 12:40 p.m.
