NEW ORLEANS (Sunday, December 2, 2012) – Mike Munna Racing Stable’s Comisky’s Humor  broke in full stride to make the pace and held on willingly in the late stages to win Sunday’s featured $49,000 allowance and $40,000 optional claiming grass sprint at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots by a length and a quarter.

After setting early fractions of 22.04 and 46.46, Comisky’s Humor toured the about 5 1/2-furlong distance over a Stall-Wilson turf course rated firm in 1:05.18, returned mutuels of $8.60, $5.60 and $4 and increased his career earnings to $67,264 with his fourth victory in six lifetime starts.

Ridden by Richard Eramia and trained by Ron Faucheux, the altered son of Sharp Humor was posting his second straight tally after finishing far back in last spring’s Grade II Louisiana Derby.

Warning Song, owned by Maggi Moss – Fair Grounds’ leading owner last season – was always well placed, could not catch the winner but rallied to be clearly second best, finishing a length and a half to the good of Sturges Ducoing’s Bergman.

Warning Song paid $10.60 and $6.60 in the second spot while Bergman returned $7 to show.

Racing resumes Thursday at Fair Grounds with a nine-race program beginning at 12:40 p.m.
