BAD MAN BROWN WINS 2ND OF SEASON, LEADING EVERY STEP

OKLAHOMA CITY – M. Marshel Bennett’s Bad Man Brown led from the starting gate to the finish in the fourth race Thursday at Remington Park to gain his second win of the season. Never threatened, he drew clear for a 2-1/2 length score under jockey Benny Landeros.

Trained by Andy Gladd, Bad Man Brown launched from the gate and cruised on the front end in the claiming race for Oklahoma-breds. He crossed the finish of the 5-1/2 furlong race 1:04.16 over a fast track. The 4-year-old gelding was ahead of K Company with Mister Vaquero along for third.

Away at 5-2 in the wagering, Bad Man Brown paid $7.40 to win, $3.20 to place and $3 to show. K Company, the beaten wagering favorite at 4-5 odds, returned $2.60 to place and $2.20 to show. Mister Vaquero paid $2.80 to show.

Bad Man Brown won his third career race from 21 starts. His Remington Park wins this season are his only triumphs in Oklahoma City. A son of Banks Well from the Black Tie Affair (Ire) mare Miss Owl’s Affair, Bad Man Brown earned $7,347 to move his career total to $27,098.
