THURSDAY NIGHT OF NINE RACES, WON BY NINE DIFFERENT TRAINERS AND JOCKEYS

OKLAHOMA CITY – Remington Park’s nine-race Thursday program was won by nine different trainers and nine different jockeys, with plenty of longshot winners sprinkled throughout.

The lone allowance event on the card came in race two as 2-year-old fillies battled over 5-1/2 furlongs with Wahine Bling winning her Remington Park debut. Trained by Danny Pish, ridden by Roman Chapa and owned by Macassar Corporation of Piedmont, Okla., Wahine Bling paid $58 to win.

Wahine Bling dueled with Falling Star throughout the race, putting her away in the stretch to win by 1-3/4 lengths. Falling Star was the 3-5 wagering favorite. My Golden Belle was third.

The allowance triumph was worth $17,949 to Wahine Bling who raised her career bankroll to $34,269. She is a Texas-bred filly by Too Much Bling from the Valid Expectations mare Surf Tide.

The remainder of the night’s program also produced these lucrative winners:

-           Black Ocean came through with a traffic-weaving stretch run under Phil Teator to win race four for owner Poindexter Thoroughbreds of Springfield, Mo. and trainer Lynn Chleborad. Black Ocean paid $22.80 to her backers in winning her career debut.

-           The large payoffs continued in race five as J Gray paid $49 to win in breaking her maiden for Hall’s Family Trust of Fort Worth, Texas and trainer Danele Durham. Jockey Erik McNeil was aboard the gray for victory.

-           Owner and trainer Joe Casey of Owasso, Okla. sent Grand Ali to his first career triumph, breaking his maiden status in his first Remington Park attempt in race seven. Jockey Stephanie Keever won her first race of the year as Grand Ali paid $37.20 to win.

-           In the eighth race, Mojo Mania rallied from well back over the final three furlongs to win the one-mile event for owner H.V. Farms of Lexington, Ky. Trained by Joe Offolter and ridden by Belen Quinonez, Mojo Mania paid $34.80 to win.
