SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY – August 30, 2012 –  Over the past six weeks of the 2012 Saratoga race meet, “At The Post Live”, hosted by renowned horse racing personality, Andy Serling, has broadcast live before standing-room-only capacity crowds on Hattie’s patio in downtown Saratoga Springs and has been heard live on the air waves of the Capital Region's leading sports station, ESPN Radio 104.5 FM “The Team" and around the country on the Daily Racing Form's website www.drf.com.

A hit with the local community enjoying the downtown buzz of a live syndicated show, "At The Post Live" has delivered must-have destination sports programming to die-hard sports and horse racing fans flocking to the nation's premiere racing meet. Throughout the summer, the show has featured as its live guests the season’s biggest victors, including: Eclipse award winning jockey Ramon Dominquez, who currently leads the nation in earnings, is dominating the Saratoga race meet in wins, and is the winning pilot of historic dead-heat 2012 Travers winner Alpha; Chad Brown, current top ten trainer nationally in earnings and second leading trainer at the Saratoga meet with over twenty winners; and Kiaran McLaughlin, trainer of Alabama Stakes winner Questing and million dollar Travers Stakes co-winner Alpha. In addition, the top names, experts and opinion-makers from across the horse racing world have joined the show this summer, including Hall of Fame trainer Nick Zito, celebrated author, Washington Post journalist, and creator of the industry-changing Beyer Speed Figures, Andy Beyer, and Daily Racing Form publisher and noted author and columnist, Steve Crist.

Host Andy Serling will continue to push the envelope in the final "At The Post Live" show of the Saratoga season, featuring special guests from the varied racing disciplines of training, riding, and reporting: LINDA RICE, history-making trainer and perennial tour-de-force on the New York circuit who recently became the only woman in Thoroughbred racing history to win a training title at a major United States race meeting when she won the  most difficult test of a trainer, the Saratoga training title; ROSIE NAPRAVNIK, groundbreaking top national jockey and the only woman to win the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks; and MAGGIE WOLFENDALE, NYRA paddock insider and racing analyst.

Linda Rice is a third generation horse trainer who earned her first Grade I stakes triumph with Things Change in the 1998 Spinaway at Saratoga. Rice continued her graded stakes success with two-year-old City Zip, winner of four consecutive stakes including the Grade I Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga in 2000. Rice’s horses have set course records at Belmont Park, Aqueduct, Saratoga, Monmouth Park and Pimlico Race Course. During the 2007 Saratoga meet, Rice sent out six consecutive winners, a remarkable training accomplishment that foreshadowed even greater accomplishments to come. In 2009, Rice became the first and only woman in the 149 year history of the venerable Saratoga Race Course to win the meet's leading trainer title. In doing so, she defeated the powerhouse barn of Todd Pletcher in dramatic fashion, recording 20 wins to Pletcher's 19, while sending out a mere 75 starters in comparison to the 135 starters Pletcher saddled during the meet. Rice followed up her historic 2009 Saratoga title by sending out yet another 20 winners at the upstate track during the 2010 meeting. Over the 2008 through 2010 Saratoga meets, in testament to her training versatility, Rice won 12 claiming races, 10 maiden special weights races, 10 allowance races, and 10 stakes races. Since entering the history books with her Saratoga training victory, Rice has continued her championship ways, going on to win outright or share three more training titles at the Belmont and Aqueduct race meets.

Rosie Napravnik is a multiple graded stakes winning jockey who broke into the horse racing mainstream in 2006 as runner-up in Eclipse Award voting for the nation's top apprentice jockey while establishing herself as one of the top riders in Maryland with leading jockey titles at Pimlico Race Course and Laurel Park Race Course. Significant horses that she has ridden include Termsofengagement, Pants On Fire, and Believe You Can. In 2012, Napravnik became the first woman to win the prestigious Grade I Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs aboard Believe You Can. Recently, she placed fourth among all jockeys at Belmont Park, and became only the second female jockey ever to compete in the Belmont Stakes. This year, Napravnik is impressively listed among the top ten jockeys nationally in total purse earnings, and her highlights this season include winning the Fair Grounds Oaks and Silverbulletday Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course, the Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont Park, and the Sanford Stakes at Saratoga Race Course. This is Napravnik’s first full year at Saratoga where she is currently ranked among the top ten jockeys riding at the meet.

Maggie Wolfendale is a fixture in the paddocks at Aqueduct Racetrack, Belmont Park, and Saratoga Race Course, where she assesses horses on race day for NYRA TV. Prior to joining NYRA TV, she co-hosted Maryland Horse Radio, a weekly ESPN radio show on the state’s racing industry and served as a television analyst at Colonial Downs.
