New York, NY (June 4, 2012) – This week, as the horse racing world prepares for the possibility of the first Triple Crown winner since 1978, MSG+ has fans covered as they get ready for the highly anticipated 144th Belmont Stakes on Saturday. The network will telecast two preview shows as well as the live drawing of the post positions for the third and final leg of the Triple Crown.

 

On Wednesday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m., MSG+ will telecast the “Belmont Draw” live as the racing world finds out where the competitors will be positioned. Hosted by NYRA racing analyst Andy Serling, the 30-minute program will also include interviews with trainers and owners. Encore presentations of the draw show will run the same day at 2:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., as well as on Thursday at 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

 

Friday night at 7:30 p.m., MSG+ will telecast the “Belmont Stakes Preview Show,” featuring the latest news and information before Saturday’s race. NYRA’s Jason Blewitt will host the program with contributions from analysts Serling, Eric Donovan, Richard Migliore and Maggie Wolfendale. The show will re-air an hour later at 8:30 p.m. and twice on race day at10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

 

Later Friday night at 1:00 a.m. (Saturday morning), MSG+ will also host the “Belmont Handicappers’ Preview” show as racing experts Greg Wolf, Paul Lo Duca, Todd Schrupp and Simon Bay take fans through the field to separate the contenders and pretenders. An encore presentation of the program will run on Saturday at 3:00 p.m., only hours before the Belmont bell rings.
