Rick Dutrow, winning trainer of Redeemed (No. 10): “He’s been running with good horses, and he’s been showing up. I don’t know what’s next in store for him, but we’re going to have to stay after the big races. We’ll just have to see what’s next. I’ll have a talk with Ramon and see if he wants to go this far all the time, we’ll get the numbers, check things out, but we have a live horse, that’s for sure.”
“I didn’t say anything to Ramon [Dominguez]. He knows how to ride, this horse knows how to run. This horse’s best game, probably, is stalking. But as you can see he can go to the lead and take them there.”
Ramon Dominguez, winning jockey aboard Redeemed (No. 10): “He relaxed beautifully for me, and when it was time to go turning for home he responded beautifully and galloped out strong. I wasn’t overly confident, because you don’t know about the distance with any of them. We don’t run these distances daily, but I couldn’t be any happier with how well he relaxed for me. I felt like I definitely had horse. He was drawing off in the last part. I was very impressed.”
