SLOTS, SIMULCASTING OPEN EVENINGS DURING JAZZ FEST

NEW ORLEANS (Thursday, April 19, 2012) – The state-of-the-art slot-machine facility and the Grandstand OTB at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots will be open for business every evening during the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival Presented by Shell, also known as Jazz Fest, April 27-29 and May 3-6. Even though the Slots and Simulcasting will suspend play during the day, Jazz Fest visitors are invited to join in the after-party fun at Fair Grounds as music-filled afternoons segue into thrilling
The Slots facility and Fair Grounds OTB will open to pedestrians via the main Gentilly Avenue gate at 6:30 p.m. on Jazz Fest days and vehicles will be able to access the parking lot via the Horsemen’s Gate on Gentilly at 8 p.m. Free shuttle service between designated parking areas and the Slots entrance will be available for guests throughout Jazz Fest nights.
The Slots and Simulcasting areas will maintain their regular hours – 9 a.m. to midnight weekdays for Slots and 11 a.m. to midnight (or after the night’s final race) for Simulcasting – from April 30 to May 2, the days between Jazz Fest weekends.
All Fair Grounds OTB & Casino locations throughout the metro area will maintain their regular hours every day, including Kentucky Oaks Day on May 4 and Kentucky Derby Day on May 5.
