SPRING TRAINING GETS UNDERWAY AT HISTORIC OKLAHOMA TRAINING TRACK

WHAT:           The thoroughbreds return to Saratoga Springs to begin training for the upcoming summer meet.

WHEN:           Thursday, April 12

                        6 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WHERE:        Oklahoma Training Track

                        Union Avenue

                        Saratoga Springs, NY

DETAILS:      Saratoga’s famed Oklahoma Training Track will open for spring training as the thoroughbreds make their way back to the Spa City in a prelude to the 144^th season at Saratoga Race Course.

The 2012 season at Saratoga Race Course begins on Friday, July 20 and will consist of 40 racing days before concluding on Labor Day, Monday, September 3.

The 143^rd running of the Grade 1, $1 million Travers Stakes will take place on Saturday, August 25, 2012.
