THURSDAY’S racing cancelled
Live racing is scheduled to resume Friday with a 10-race program beginning at 12:40 p.m. The Fair Grounds OTB and all 10 Fair Grounds OTB Casino locations remain open for simulcasting from tracks around the country and the Fair Grounds Slots facility is open for play on its 600 machines until midnight.
Seven live racing days remain in the 140th Thoroughbred Racing Season, which runs Thursdays to Sundays through April 1. The meet ends with a bang on Closing Weekend, which includes Starlight Racing on March 30, Fair Grounds Oaks Day with a Susan G. Komen “Pink Out” on March 31, and Louisiana Derby Day with top Kentucky Derby hopefuls and the annual “Fillies, Fashion & Fizz” party on April 1.
