 MEDIA ALERT Cindy Rullman 859-259-4209 Cindy.Rullman@ky.gov 4,800 Kentucky School Kids to Attend Special Live Horse Show Created Just for Them as Part of Literacy Program WHO: First Lady Jane Beshear, the Kentucky Horse Park, and 4,800 fourth-graders from central Kentucky schools WHAT: Original equine production written and choreographed especially for the children participating in the Kentucky Horse Park Literacy Program. Professional equine entertainers such as Dan James, of Australia, and Clay Maier, of the U.S., will perform. WHEN: Thursday, Mar 29, 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. WHERE: Kentucky Horse Park's Alltech Arena WHY: Approximately 6,000 first- and fourth-grade students from 55 schools in Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Grant, Madison, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford counties are in enrolled in this year's Kentucky Horse Park Literacy Program, which combines horse-themed books and experiences with live horses to inspire a lifelong love of horses and reading.
