NYRA TO OFFER SECOND-CHANCE CALENDAR PROMOTION AT AQUEDUCT RACETRACK, BELMONT CAFÉ

 

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – Those who were unable to visit Aqueduct Racetrack or the Belmont Café on New Year’s Day will have a second chance to pick up a 2012 New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) calendar on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 16.

 

A limited number of calendars will be available for $2 at Aqueduct and at the Belmont Café while supplies last. Sales are limited to five per person.

 

The calendar is larger than in years past and features a bolder and more vibrant look than ever before, with twice the number of photos. The cover shot depicts the horses coming into the stretch for the 2011 Belmont Stakes, including Ruler On Ice, winner of the race, Preakness victor Shackleford, and eventual Jim Dandy and Travers winner Stay Thirsty.

 

After Monday, the calendar will be available for purchase online and at the NYRA Store at Aqueduct Racetrack for $10.

 

Monday’s feature is the $75,000 Jimmy Winkfield, a six-furlong race for 3-year-olds.
