NYRA ADDS SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM QUEENS VILLAGE LIRR TO BELMONT CAFE
OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has announced that starting on Wednesday, January 5, free shuttle service will be offered from the Queens Village LIRR stop to the Belmont Cafe simulcasting area at Belmont Park.
The service will be offered live racing days at Aqueduct Racetrack, usually Wednesdays through Sundays.
The schedule is as follows, until further notice:
Queens Village LIRR Shuttle Service to Belmont Café (NYRA Live Racing Days)
Pickup at Queens Village at 11:45 a.m.
Departures from Belmont Café back to Queens Village at 4:00, 6:25, and 7:15 p.m.
The heated Belmont Café offers customers the ability to use self-service machines or bet with tellers, and has a variety of food and drinks available for purchase, including soup, bagels, hot dogs and assorted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Parking and admission at The Belmont Café are free, with track prices paid on all payouts. Available programs include the Post Parade, Daily Racing Form, and Daily Racing Program. There is also an ATM onsite.
Hours of operation at the Belmont Café are 11 a.m. through the conclusion of live racing at Santa Anita, usually between 7 and 8 p.m. On non-racing days at NYRA tracks and Santa Anita, the Belmont Cafe will be open from approximately 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
NYRA also offers free bus service from locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island to Aqueduct Racetrack. There are now seven bus routes with the following schedules that will run until further notice:
