STEPHENGOTHISSTAR MAKES IT FOUR IN A ROW

OKLAHOMA CITY – Stephengothisstar kept his record perfect this season at Remington Park with four wins in as many starts, winning Wednesday’s featured Optional Allowance with a purse of $29,500. The five-year-old gelding responded when asked for his move by Berry, picking up the leaders while angling out four wide. Stephengothisstar closed in middle of the track to get by Steal the Sticks late in the stretch to win by 1-1/2 lengths finishing in the quick time of 1:09.40.

Stephengothisstar was the wagering favorite paying $4.60 to win, $3.00 to place and $2.60 to show. Steal the Sticks held second returning $4.40 to place and $4.20 to show. Biznet was third returning $4.80 to show.

A Kentucky-bred son of Stephen Got Even from the Prospective Star mare Airistar, Stephengothisstar was making his second start for his current connections after being claimed for $20,000 in October. The win was his ninth from 30 career attempts. Stephengothisstar earned $17,656 to move his lifetime earnings to $148,365.

The win was the second on the night for Nolen who scored with the 26-1 Luckstellall ($54.00) in the night’s sixth race.
