NYRA ANNOUNCES INSTANT SIGN-UP FOR NYRA REWARDS; WILL LAUNCH FULL-CARD SIMULCASTING AT BELMONT PARK
OZONE PARK, N.Y. The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) will offer new customers the opportunity to sign up instantly for its free NYRA Rewards account wagering service beginning Wednesday, December 15, and will launch full-card simulcasting of Aqueduct's live program daily in the Belmont Café at Belmont Park beginning on Sunday, December 12.
In addition to offering new NYRA Rewards members double cash rewards for three months from January 1-March 31, 2011, NYRA has simplified the online sign-up process for its account wagering service, allowing individuals to instantly open, fund, and bet from NYRA Rewards accounts set up at www.nyrarewards.com.
"We'd like to thank Chairman John Sabini and the New York State Racing and Wagering Board for their decisive action allowing NYRA to offer instant sign-ups and double cash rewards for new NYRA Rewards members," said NYRA President and CEO Charles Hayward.
NYRA Rewards, which already returns the largest rebates among all account wagering platforms based in the United States, allows horseplayers to earn cash back for wagers made on track, through the NYRA Rewards telephone service, on mobile devices, and online through www.nyrarewards.com. NYRA Rewards customers receive their rebate on the first of each month, with the payment based on their level of wagering activity over the previous month.
Those interested in signing up for NYRA Rewards can do so on the NYRA Rewards website or at a customer service booth at Aqueduct Racetrack. Instant online sign-ups will begin Wednesday, December 15, and individuals may also visit a sign-up kiosk on-track at Aqueduct located at the first floor customer service booth.
Additionally, NYRA will offer full-card simulcasting on Aqueduct at the Belmont Café beginning on Sunday, December 12. Parking at Belmont and admission to the heated café area and programs will be free. Once inside, customers will be able to use self-service machines or bet with tellers. The Belmont Café kitchen will offer a variety of refreshments for purchase, including soup, bagels, hot dogs and assorted beverages. The Café will be open for simulcasting seven days per week from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
