LIVE VIDEO STREAMING AVAILABLE FOR NYRA REWARDS MEMBERS

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) announced that, starting on Wednesday, December 29, a live video stream of NYRA’s races will be available to NYRA Rewards members at www.nyrarewards.com.

“We are elated to offer NYRA Rewards members the ability to watch our races in real time on the internet,” said NYRA President and CEO Charles Hayward. “Thanks to the New York State Racing and Wagering Board, Chairman John Sabini, and the state’s racetracks and regional Off-Track Betting corporations for working together to make video streaming a reality.”

On Tuesday, December 21, the New York State Racing and Wagering Board approved the state’s racetracks and regional Off-Track Betting corporations to video stream their races to New York residents for one year.

NYRA will begin by streaming races from Aqueduct Racetrack, with signals from simulcast tracks around the country slated to begin within the next few weeks.

In addition to live streaming, new NYRA Rewards members will earn double cash rewards for the three months from January 1-March 31, 2011 and NYRA has simplified the online sign-up process for its account wagering service, allowing individuals to instantly open, fund, and bet from NYRA Rewards accounts set up at www.nyrarewards.com.

NYRA Rewards, which returns the largest rebates among all account wagering platforms based in the United States, allows horseplayers to earn cash back for wagers made on track, through the NYRA Rewards telephone service, on mobile devices, and online through www.nyrarewards.com. Customers receive their rebate on the first of each month, with the payment based on their level of wagering activity over the previous month.

Those interested in signing up for NYRA Rewards can do so on the NYRA Rewards website or at a customer service booth at Aqueduct Racetrack. Instant online sign-ups are now available, and individuals may also visit a sign-up kiosk on-track at Aqueduct located at the first floor customer service booth.

NYRA Rewards is open seven days a week, offers customers the convenience of express funding and electronic withdrawals to their checking accounts, does not require members to maintain a minimum account balance, and does not charge any wagering transaction fees.
