IMOKTODRIVE SCORCHES THE TRACK IN SPRINT FEATURE

OKLAHOMA CITY – Veteran Oklahoma-breds battled in Saturday’s $34,000 optional allowance feature going 5-1/2 furlongs at Remington Park. Imoktodrive made it two consecutive wins this season, blazing away on the front of the seven-horse field to win by a length in 1:03.52.

The clocking was the fastest at the 5-1/2 furlong distance this season at Remington Park.

Imoktodrive is owned by Double O Stable of Amarillo, Texas and trained by Chris Hartman. Ramsey Zimmerman was up for the second straight win on the 5-year-old who normally flashes great speed in going right to the lead. Saturday, no rival could stay with him as he prevailed. Unome’s Kandiman managed a rally into second position with Marq French another 1-1/2 lengths behind in third.

Away at 9-2 odds, Imoktodrive paid $11.20 to win, $6 to place and $3.60 to show. Unome’s Kandiman returned $5.60 to place and $3.20 to show. Marq French paid $2.80 to show.

The win was the fourth from 18 career attempts for Imoktodrive whose two-race streak this season represents all of his Remington Park victories. A son of Macabe from the Ayman mare Juloro, Imoktodrive earned $19,860 to push his career money to $57,576.

The win aboard Imoktodrive was the second on the program for Zimmerman. He now has 47 for the season and sits in second position in the jockey standings behind Cliff Berry who has 50.

There will be no live racing on Wednesday, Nov. 24 or on Thanksgiving next week. The Remington Park Thoroughbred Season resumes with a special afternoon program on Black Friday, Nov. 26, beginning at 1:30pm. All times are central.

The Remington Park season ends on Dec. 11, featuring the finale of the 2-year-old stakes series, the $250,000 Springboard Mile.
