WATCH AND WAGER ON THE BREEDERS’ CUP AT AQUEDUCT
OZONE PARK, N.Y. – November 5 marks opening day at Aqueduct Racetrack, the very best place to catch all of the simulcast action from Breeders’ Cup World Championship weekend at Churchill Downs next Friday and Saturday, in addition to great live racing in New York.
Aqueduct’s fall stakes program kicks off on Saturday, November 6, with three graded races carded for the second day of the meet – the Grade 2 Red Smith at 1 3/8 miles on the turf for horses 3-years-old and up, as well as a pair of one-mile juvenile contests in the Grade 2 Nashua and Grade 3 Tempted, for fillies.
On both Friday and Saturday, fans can watch and wager on the full Breeders’ Cup cards from Churchill Downs, with advance wagering offered Friday on Saturday’s 11-race card. Also available is wagering on the Ladies’ Classic / Breeders’ Cup Classic Double, which will close at post time of the Ladies’ Classic on Friday evening at approximately 7:30 p.m., as well as a special jockey wager, in which gamblers bet on which jockey will win the most Breeders’ Cup races over the course of the two-day event. This wager will close at post time of the Breeders Cup Marathon, the first race in the championship series, scheduled to go off at 4:10 p.m. on Friday.
Advance wagering on Saturday’s card, as well as the Ladies Classic / Classic and Jockey two-day wagers will only be available on-track and through NYRA Rewards Telebet, while all other wagers will also be available via NYRA Rewards internet wagering, in addition to on-track and via Telebet. NYRA will be offering the Breeders’ Cup default wager amounts, including 50 cent minimums on trifectas, Pick 3’s, and Pick 4’s, on all platforms, including all teller windows.
First race post at Churchill Downs on Friday is 2:00 p.m. with the first Breeders’ Cup race scheduled to go off at 4:10 p.m and last race at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Churchill’s first post is at 12:05 p.m. with the first Breeders’ Cup race scheduled to go off at 1:50 p.m. and the final race, the Breeders’ Cup Classic, scheduled to go off at 6:45 p.m. NYRA will open expanded simulcasting areas on Friday with designated windows remaining open until the conclusion of Breeders’ Cup racing that night, and on Saturday evening all mutuel windows will remain open until the Breeders’ Cup Classic concludes.
Aqueduct will have eight-race live cards on both Friday and Saturday beginning at 12:30 with a final post of 3:48 p.m. on Friday and 4:10 p.m. on Saturday. Admission gates will open at 11 a.m. on Friday and at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
