He had to check a couple of times, but he still came running. We figured he could have won if he hadn’t encountered all the trouble. We are really happy for him.”
Javier Castellano, winning jockey aboard General Maximus (No. 5): “I had a beautiful trip today. Today, I rode him the way it’s supposed to be, and he responded. I’m very happy with the horse. He’s a special horse. Today is a big day, it’s my birthday, and I’m enjoying my day.”
