GOVERNOR PATERSON AND GENTING TO BREAK GROUND ON RESORTS WORLD NEW YORK, A NEW WORLD-CLASS CASINO AT AQUEDUCT RACE TRACK

 

Elected officials, union representatives and South Queens residents will launch project creating 2,100 jobs and generating more than $300 million in annual state revenue

 

(NEW YORK): Governor Paterson and Genting New York will officially break ground on the Resorts World New York casino on October 28th -- a project that will create 2,100 jobs and generate more than $300 million in annual revenue for the state.

 

The event will be held at Aqueduct Racetrack on Thursday, October 28th at 11 AM and will have two components:

 

 

 *   A speaking program featuring, Governor Paterson, Genting executives, legislators and members of the horse racing community;

 *   A guided press tour conducted by Tutor Perini and JCJ Architects, the firms responsible for building the facility.
