Attached are credential applications (in PDF and Word formats) for both the 139th Thoroughbred Racing Season and the Bank of America Challenge Championships.
The 84-day 139th Thoroughbred Racing Season – opening Thanksgiving Day, November 25, and continuing through March 27 – promises to be one of the best in Fair Grounds’ storied history. Highlights include Louisiana Champions Day, four Starlight Racing dates and three days of graded stakes racing that build up to the $1 million Louisiana Derby on the meet’s final Saturday.
Six days prior to the Thoroughbred season, Fair Grounds is proud to host the Bank of America Challenge Championships for the first time on Nov. 19. Featuring 13 stakes races worth more than $1.1 million, the Challenge Championships represent the best of American Quarter Horse racing and will determine many of the sport’s year-end honors.
