Perl, 28, comes to New York from Calder Race Course, where he served as stakes coordinator and assistant racing secretary. After graduating from the University of Arizona's Race Track Industry Program in 2008, Perl held a variety of jobs in the industry before taking a position in the racing office at Calder in 2010. "Sean is a young man with a bright future and will be an excellent addition as we continue to build our racing team," said Martin Panza, Senior Vice President of Racing Operations for the New York Racing Association. "As well as his enthusiasm for racing, he also brings with him fresh ideas along with valuable connections to south Florida horsemen." Prior to becoming a racing official, Perl, a native of Miami, worked for six-time Eclipse Award winning trainer Todd Pletcher at Saratoga as well as working the yearling sales at Keeneland Race Course with Denali Stud and the 2-year-old sales with noted horseman J.
