LOVEBERRY RIDES 4 WINNERS, 3 OF THEM FOR CALDWELL
OKLAHOMA CITY – Jockey Jareth Loveberry continues to enjoy a great first season at Remington Park, loading his statistics with four more winners on Thursday night.
Loveberry found the winner’s circle three times on horses trained by J.R. Caldwell who ascended the trainer standings with his trio of winners. Lainey Luck ($5.80 to win) in race two, Mnmsweepinbeauty ($6.20) in race four and Sky Full Of Stars ($5.60) in race five, provided the team triple for Loveberry and Caldwell.
Loveberry picked up his fourth win of the night with F C Gomango ($22) in race six. Loveberry now has 22 wins for the season, moving him to third place in the jockey standings behind Ramon Vazquez (27 wins) and Cliff Berry (23).
Caldwell’s training triple gives him 11 wins for the season. He now moves into third place among trainers behind Bret Calhoun (14) and Steve Asmussen (13).
Remington Park racing continues Friday and Saturday with programs underway at 7pm. The Oklahoma Derby program of 10 races, featuring the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby and six other stakes events, will take place Sunday afternoon beginning at 1:30pm. The special Oklahoma Derby Day card of racing is worth $1,091,700 in overall horsemen’s purses.
Remington Park is open daily at 10:30am for simulcast racing and casino gaming, featuring the Bricktown Brewery on the casino floor. Admission, general parking and valet parking are always free at Remington Park, the home of the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby on Sunday, Sept. 28.
