| Saturday, August 30, 2014 Contact: Jon Forbes jforbes@nyrainc.com Saratoga to offer $151k Pick 6 carryover on Sunday SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - In addition to a pair of graded stakes, announcer Tom Durkin's final race call, and a T-shirt giveaway, Sunday's card at Saratoga Race Course will include a Pick 6 with a $151,766 carryover. The Pick 6 will begin with race 7, which has a scheduled post time of 4:11 p.m. The fourth leg is the Grade 1, $350,000 Spinaway, a seven-furlong race for 2-year-old fillies. The Spinaway will bring down the curtain on Durkin's 43-year career as a track announcer. Prior to the Pick 6, Saratoga will host the Grade 3, $150,000 Glens Falls for fillies and mares on the turf. Wagering on the Pick 6 is available at Saratoga, Aqueduct Racetrack, and the Belmont Café, and through NYRA Rewards, which offers Internet, On-Track, Phone, and Mobile wagering. -30- |
