PICK 6 CARROVER OF MORE THAN $50,000 THURSDAY AT ARLINGTON; ALSO $50,000-PLUS IN JACKPOT HIGH 5 POOL
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Aug. 20, 2014) – Racing fans will have a pair of nice carryover pools to shoot for when the racing week resumes with a 10-race card on Thursday at Arlington International Racecourse including $56,668 in the Pick 6 pool. The Pick 6, a $1 wager with a 15% takeout rate, covers the final six races on the card (races 5-10) and is a standard wager that will share the entire pool among all ticket holders with the correct official winners.
In addition, the jackpot pool in the $1 Jackpot High 5 has swelled to $58,216. The Jackpot High 5, to be offered on Thursday’s 10th race, requires the bettor to select the first five finishers in exact order however the entire pool is only paid out when there is one and only one winning ticket with the correct order of finish for the top five. If multiple tickets are sold on the winning combination, 50% of the daily Jackpot High 5 will be divided among those ticket holders with the remaining 50% carried over to the next day.
