HUGE PICK 5 CARROVER SUNDAY AT ARLINGTON
Also Large Pick 6 Carryover
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Aug. 16, 2014) – Sunday’s nine-race card at Arlington International Racecourse will have nearly $200,000 in carryover pools available topped by a $109,944 Pick 5 carryover. The Pick 5, a 50-cent wager with a 15% takeout rate, covers the final races on the card (races 5-9).
One race earlier, a $34,317 carryover is up for grabs in the $1 Pick 6 – also with a 15% takeout rate. Both the Pick 5 and Pick 6 are standard wagers that pay out the entire pool to all ticket holders with the correct official winners.
Two jackpot pools also have carryovers – the $1 Jackpot High Five on race 9 has a jackpot pool of $43,559 and the 10-cent Jackpot Pick 9 starting on race 1 has a jackpot pool of $3,328. Both of these wagers payout the entire pool only when there is a single winner, and pay consolations when there are multiple winners.
