ARLINGTON MILLION AND INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF RACING TO BE SHOWN ON AT THE RACES AND RACING UK
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (Aug. 12, 2014) – Racing fans in the United Kingdom will be able to watch the Aug. 16 running 32nd running of the Grade I Arlington Million and the entire International Festival of Racing program on both At The Races and Racing UK, bringing the prestigious races into millions of homes throughout Great Britain.
In addition to the Grade I Arlington Million, the International Festival of Racing consists of two additional Grade I affairs –the $750,000 Beverly D., the sister race to the Million, and the $500,000 Secretariat Stakes for 3-year-olds – plus the Listed $400,000 American St. Leger for marathon turf runners; and the $75,000 Hatoof Stakes for 3-year-old fillies.
“Arlington is thrilled be able to share the International Festival of Racing card with such a vast overseas audience including those connections who are unable to make the trip to see their horses race in person,” said Arlington International Racecourse General Manager Tony Petrillo.
Arlington International Racecourse – the Chicago area’s premier Thoroughbred racetrack located in Arlington Heights, Ill. – will run an 89-day meet in 2014 from Friday, May 2 through Sunday, Sept. 28.
