MEDIA ADVISORY: Saratoga Season credentials now available

2014 Saratoga Racecourse press credential applications for The New York Racing Association Inc. are now being accepted. All credential applications must be submitted online through http://credentials.nyra.com.

The New York Racing Association, Inc. online credential application service is for members of the accredited media. If you are not granted a seasonal credential, you may be considered on a day-by-day basis. The New York Racing Association, Inc. reserves the right to revoke credentials of anyone who fails to comply with the waiver on the credential website, or who abuses the credential, or who does not meet The New York Racing Association, Inc. credential criteria.

CRITERIA: The New York Racing Association, Inc.'s decision to issue credentials is determined by a variety of factors. They include the following:

●Amount of coverage given throughout the season

●Distribution of publication: free, subscription, sale on newsstands, etc.

●Radio or TV station program format and size of audience

●ALL credential requests must be made online a minimum of ten (10) days in advance of the requested race day

●Failure to utilize an issued credential without notifying the Communications department, or any attempt to transfer, sell or trade a credential will result in revocation of future credential privileges.

CREDENTIAL PICK-UP: Media must pick up their credentials in person at the Communications Office and have their credential visible at all times while on site. Non-compliance with any security measures will result in the revocation of the credential.

WORKING PRESS: Admittance to the press box is restricted to the WORKING PRESS ONLY. Credentials are marked with individual identification. Passes are non-transferable.

PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VIDEOGRAPHERS: Please take special note of the conditions for use of press credentials, as set by The New York Racing Association, Inc. that can be found under our photographer/videographer guidelines on the credential site. Photographers and television crews who plan to bring equipment on track must submit proof of liability insurance as outlined on page 4 of the application website.

Please note that if you have a yearly credential, you DO NOT have to apply for a separate Saratoga seasonal credential or a Travers Stakes week credential. Your application does NOT guarantee that you will receive a seasonal credential. The New York Racing Association, Inc. reserves the right to deny access to any media outlet/person at its discretion.

If you have specific questions about the application process, please contact me via email at ntimberlake@nyrainc.com

Thank you!
